uk rn looking to move to bc...

Hi everyone

I'm a UK trained RN working in surgery looking to relocate with my wife and family to BC within the next three years.

What's the job situation like there? Are there plenty of vacancies or are they scarce? What are staffing levels like? What's the nurse/patient ratio on the wards? Whats the property market like? Would you recommend a big city or a smaller town (my kids are 10, 9, 7 and 2)?

I appreciate that it's not possible to answer all these questions - I'm just hoping to get a flavour of what's out there - info that can't be got from websites and suchlike.

We all went to Toronto last August and it was amazing - Canada rocks!
