RN Salary

Hi, I was just wondering how much a RN makes in Canada, approximately and how much more do you get if you specialize in a field (such as ICU). Thanks in advance.

Default Re: RN Salary
Each province has its own pay grid based on the cost of living, the economic diversity of the region, and how long the contract has been in place. There's an excellent and current comparison of wages and benefits here: http://www.nursesunion.mb.ca/pdf%20f...p(7-16-07).pdf

Most places don't have incentives for nurses in high-acuity, high-turnover areas like ICU, which is a shame. There are incentives for advanced education and certifications, though.
