Promises from Dalton McGuinty

Dalton McGuinty and the Liberals have said that because of the huge deficit hidden and then left behind by the previous party in power, that the Liberals will be unable to keep some of their more expensive campaign promises.

I wonder if that includes the 8,000 new nursing jobs that were promised!?!

It sounded to me like it was more in the area of development than in healthcare. From what I understand they have already scrapped the Tory's plan to build hospitals in partnership with private companies. I really don't see how the Liberals could hurt health care any more than the last government did, but that might just be the optimist in me speaking I really wasn't impressed with how SARS was handled at a provincial level.
