post landing services?

Those who are PR or citizen in canada [immigrated from asia],please advice me--
1) If one has no friends or relative in Canada,landing in canada with family do they need to buy post landing services from any agency?or one can stay in hotel and get all the work done by himself?is there any assisstance provided for free from govt?
2) which hotel or place is economical yet good to stay on rent in toranto?[I assume all the intial formalities can be fulfilled in toranto only if tht city is chosen to live]
3)what Job a nurse can start initially and which province is better to work in the begining?I know without RN lic-one will not get an RN job.
I know so many Q,but please reply if possible. Thank you.

How were you petitioned for the landed immigrant status in the first place? Was it because of your spouse? Otherwise, you usually do not get that status until you have passed the licensing exams and have the Canadian RN license in hand.

Can you be more specific? With what you have provided, it is hard to give you any functional answers. If you are landed immigrant, most procedures would have been completed before you even arrived.

All I remember from when my family came to Canada was all the paperwork was done before we got here. When we landed at our port of entry our paperworks was stamped and given to my parents. We stayed in a motel for the better part of six months before my parents found a place. No government help, just what my parents brought and earned once they got here. No medical coverage for the first year because at the time you had to be a resident for a year, now I believe its three months...

If I were you, I would work on my English, as this is a very important part of the licensing as a registered nurse (I had to do the same 15 years ago). The paperwork for landed immigrant status needs to be started outside Canada, I am not sure if you have started this already.

Start work on your nursing license now! There will be an English exam, they will look at your nursing education, if that is all OK, you will need to write the Canadian nursing exam (CRNE). You may have to get all this done before Immigration Canada approves anything (unless you have family sponsorship).

There will not be anything for free from the Canadian government, be prepared for some expenses, immigrating is not cheap.
