Ontario RPN transitioning to Manitoba LPN

by LaurenC

Hello everyone,

I am an RPN (LPN) in Ontario, also in the BScN program finishing my third year this April. My boyfriend was posted to CFB Shilo in November, and I'm moving out to join him in April. I'm wondering what the LPN job prospects are in the Brandon, MB area? I'm really wanting to get a job lined up before I move. (Naturally I'll have to switch my licensing provincial body- does anyone have any experience with this process, for example how long it may take?)

Also, I'm considering completing my fourth and final BScN year in Brandon- has anyone switched nursing schools during their degree program? Is this possible? So many questions- I hope someone can help me out!

Thanks so much.
