Occupational Health nursing in Canada

Hi everyone
I'm new to the forum having only just joined a short while ago. Its midnight here in the UK and I should really be in bed!!.

I wondered whether there were any canadian OH nurses out there who could tell me how the system works, where or in what type of industries OH nurses are mainly employed and what qualifications are required.

I have applied for permanent residency and am in dire need of information - if anyone can help I would be eternally grateful.

Many thanks

Andrea

Default Re: Occupational Health nursing in Canada
I used to work in Occupation Health for a mining/metallurgical giant.

What are you looking for in particular?

OHN's can work in many different environments from: mining, forestry, employee health nursing (hospital), industry (automotive), etc...

There pay scale is varied because they are usually non unionized positions from my understanding.

PM if you have other questions.

Hope this helps.

Sarah
