Nursing in BC

Just wondering, I heard they recently passed something that said all nurses in BC will be able to carry their seniority onto different health authorities (ex. Fraser Health --> Providence), Is that true?

Also.. I have a question about how seniority works, are we allowed to work 1 year and take 2-3 years vacation (doing medical missionary work) and come back to start off at the next level of pay? (ie. the pay someone would get after 1 year of work) or would I have to start all over agian?

Thx
