nurse anesthetist in U.S.

Hi,
If my fiance gets her nurse anesthetist degree in the states, would there be any use for it in Canada. I know Canada has anesthesiologists which require 4 years med school + 5 years residency but don't know if Canada would employ her graduating from the standard 28 month nurse anesthesia program in the states.

Hey Tony,

Sorry to say, but we do not have any NA's in Canada..
So probably the only thing that your wife will have a chance of doing is just becoming, a regular nurse.

I actually have a question for you or your wife..
Do you guys know if it is possible for a Canadian to take the Nurse Anas. program after getting a BSN from a Canadian School?

Yes, many nurses from the Philippines did just that.
