New to site and looking for answers

Hi There,

I am just new to this site and appears to be great. Unfortunately im at work and dont have too much time to browse through it but i did figure out how to post my first question...I was wondering if someone can please help me out.
I recently graduated from a school in Ontario, Canada and obtained my degree in nursing. I wrote my CRNE and was unsuccessful. Does anyone know if I am eligible to write the Nclex? I originally wanted to work in the US anyway but thought I had to be lisenced in Canada before i could work in the US. Now, i'm hearing that i can...but only in certain states. Is anyone able to clarify this for me? I did contact the CNA in California but have not heard back from anyone yet.
Thanks in advance,

trinz

suzanne4 might be able to help you with that question.

As for getting the best use out of allnurses.com, there's an entire forum that will help...
http://allnurses.com/forums/f246/ has videos, FAQs and a ton of helpful resources. When you have a few minutes, spend some of them there.

I want to buy the 2nd and 3th edition of The Canadian Registered Nurses Exam Preparation Guide. Do you have any ID where can I find them.
Thank you in advance for any hints.

Thank you to all of you who replied to my message. I do know where you can purchase the CRNE preperation guides, there is a site but i just dont have it on me right now. I will get it and post it on this site as soon as i get it. Bare with me if i do not reply on time but i do not have access to the internet unless im at work.
I did find out some information in regards to the NCLEX this past week. I spoke with a nursing recruiter from vancouver and she was able to give me some great advice and pertinent information. The only state that we are supposedly able to write in is Minnesota and we do not require a Canadian lisence. As long as we have a degree, we are eligible to write the NCLEX. Once we are successful in the that state, it should not be difficult for us to be accepted in other states.
In the meantime, she advised that i should not consider writing the NCLEX until i am successful in Canada. She just feels its best to continue studying for the CNRE because of how different the two exams are. She feels that beginning to study for NCLEX right now may interfere with the knowledge I currently have on nursing skills in Canada. I agree!!! Thus, I've made that decision. I'm going to attempt writing for a third time in June and cross my fingers that i am successful. So ya...thats where im at.

thanks to all who replied tho and let me know if you have any questions...maybe i can be of some help!!!

Take care and thanks again,
