Besides working in a hospital & doing crazy shift work, what other kind of opportunities can an LPN look forward to? Are these jobs readily available or are they hard to come by? I'm considering taking this program, but I'm trying to explore all the different avenues of this career choice as I'm not sure I would be able to handle working constant nights & long shifts...
Also, are LPN's able to specialize in a certain "field" where you would perhaps have a better chance of retaining a job with better work hours?
If I was to ever want to take RN a few years down the road, is this possible? Is there a bridging program available in Alberta?
And one more Q... has anyone ever attended the LPN Program at Bow Valley College in Calgary??
Sorry for all the questions

... I'm trying to figure this all out! I work out of town all week so the only research I can do is on the net and I'm not having very good luck! Thanks in advance!
