labs

I'll be starting my first yr. of Nursing in the Fall. Do you do a lot of Labs for Nursing? Can someone give me an idea of how the labs are, what you do, etc? Do you work in partners or are they individual-type labs? And I'm guessing we've to do write-up for those labs afterwards? I was never good at labs in high sch. and always messed up, so I'm worried come September?

Default Re: labs
Do you mean science course labs or nursing skills labs?

Yes, nursing skills are usually done in pairs. You study up and practice the skill before hand. Some instructors required a written review of the skill and its rationale be submitted before performance of the skill in the lab. There was no after skill write up, you either passed or failed. Fail meant you got two more attempts to demonstrate that you had mastered that skill.
