Kamloops

Sun Peaks has the steepest vertical descent of any slope in North America. They have 115 runs on 5 mountains and it's very reminiscent of a European village. Awesome skiing. When we were there in November 2006, the Austrian National Ski Team was training there... not in Austria, where they have some pretty fine mountains too. The chalet we stayed in, the North Star Chalet, had this view from the balcony.

They actually trained here this past winter as well, I believe. In fact this year has been quite the year for skiing - the conditions are unbelievable coupled with the immense sunshine the past couple of days.
