I missed my pinning ceremony :(

Well last night was my pinning ceremony where all the first year nursing students get their name tags for clinicals. Well I was stuck at school all day and I forgot my lab coat. Plus I saw that everyone had all their family there and their boyfriends so I kind of snuck out. On top of the fact that I would stick out like a sore thumb being older than the other students AND I wouldn't be wearing my lab coat , I would have no one there. My parents live too far away. I was all sad after that. Can anyone tell me what a pinning ceremony is like? Did I miss a lot?

Is it the pinning ceremony of you graduating or is it a striping ceremony for second semester. I am in my 4th semester of nursing right now and we are having a pinning ceremony in december. I'm sorry that you missed your pinning ceremony though. Hope you will be able to make the next big event.

The "real" pinning is when you are done. Don't feel bad. I went to my cap and gown graduation alone. (brought family to the pinning at the end of the program). Who cares if you have anyone there or not, you're in it for yourself.

Sorry though you missed it, be sure and plan on the next one! :hatparty:

Default Thank you...
I feel better now after talking to the professor and you guys of course, She said our real pinning will be at the end of it all and it will be a private ceremony with only the nursing students present. That's the way i'd like to have it. Oh well....only a miilion years left til I graduate!
