Hard/Easy

Good question's I will definately keep my eye on this post! I am sort of in the same situation that you are in. I am 27 married with 3 kids the ages of 9, 4, & 2. I have been in the military for 8 yrs. (Hoorah air force) So I can definately understand where you are coming from. I am hoping that everyone is close and help each other. So are you starting up with pre-req's or starting clinicals? I am done with all my pre-req's and I will say out of all of them I would say statistics was the hardest for me. I took the class online. But then again you will have to understand me when I say hard..... for example my A&P & micro classes were time consuming and a lot of work which some people think of as hard but the stats class was just down right hard to me knowledge wise (I don't fancy math to much)

For me College Algebra was the hardest. The easiest were all my nursing classes (so far). I will be starting my 3rd semester so I have a feeling things are fixing to get a lot harder. Study tips.... do your reading & do not get behind, use Nclex books to get a feel for the type of questions you will be given (Saunders is the one I use & love). I tape my lectures & relisten to them on my way to/from school. Pay attention in class & take good notes, ask questions if you don't understand. Re-read your notes at the end of the day to see if you really understand...a little studying each day is much easier.Some people like study groups but for me they don't work. Your instructor will emphasize what they feel is important...don't miss what they focus on. I also like to sit in the front so I can see/hear & don't miss anything.I am sure you already know what works for you so just stick to your routine, it has worked so far. At my school there are really no cliques & most of us do help each other but... there are people out there that enjoy making waves so just watch your P's & Q's until you know who is who.I hope this has /will help you some & good luck.

I am an adult learner... have always been a few years ahead in age with the other students because I grew up in a nother country and although this was a huge issue with high school - elementry (that I attended) - it was of no importance or issue with continueing ed, college or university - it is even said that adult learners have better retaintion that younger learners... there is a positive side to everything

It depends on your program! Where are you going to school??

That being said....as much as I loved patho...man was it hard!

I found patho is the easiest, whereas philosophy or other mainly humanity or sociology-oriented courses are hard. Depending on your school, you will have a lot of humanity oriented courses.
