First Year in Nursing


Hi everyone!

I'm interested in going into nursing and was wondering what the first year of nursing in university is like.
I've talked to some friends that attend U of C ( University of Calgary ) and they tell me that it's very science related and that a lot of people end up having trouble through the first year. Is this true?

hello. i'm currently taking some electives and biology i'd need for nursing as i'm starting the actual nursing classes next year. i'd definitely recommend taking everything you can ahead of time to lighten your load if you can. i don't know anything about the actual nursing courses yet but the anatomy/biology is definitely a lot of work/memorization. i've heard this part is where a lot of first year nurses fail. good luck!
