Experiences from US ADN RN's working in Ontario

Hi
Just wanted to see what experience most US educated Associate degree RN's have had to try and move and practice nursing in Ontario ? What are the normal options CNO gives you to practice/upgrade.

Some things I could think of are

1) Allowing US RN's to give the RPN board exams and practice as an RPN without any additional education ?

2) Allowing the US RN to take a RN--> BSCN course and then give the RN boards ? How long does that take ?

How strict is CNO on this ? Any American nurses who have actually gone through the process ?

From what I understand, an ADN graduate would only qualify for an RPN license in Canada. To be an RN, you would need to completed a bridging program to get a BSN and most of these take roughly 2 years. I know that York University has one for internationally educated nurses.

Hope this helps!
