Douglas College Psyc Nursing Program Anyone?

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone who has taken the Psyc Nursing program at Douglas College could give me some tips on what to expect. And, would it be possible to work one day a week (Saturdays)? Or is this program that intense that I should be devoting that Saturday to studying? Any advice or comments would be appreciated!!

My sister is taking the Psych Nursing Degree program at Douglas College, and I'm taking the Psych Nursing Degree program at Kwantlen Polytechnic University. Douglas has a great program. My sister is going on to her third year in the program and was able to work a couple times a week and continue to do well on her studies. One day a week is definately manageable just stay on top of your readings and organize your time and priorities because the load increases as you get further through the program. Are you taking degree or diploma? My sister said its actually not too difficult and intense, although she does have great time management

Thanks for your reply Bosa!

I'm really looking forward to this program, but very nervous at the same time.

I wish you and your sister much success!

I have not yet graduated qveronica. Im not sure if you are in a program in BC or you are an international nurse. Your questions may be best answered by looking at the crpnbc.ca website and contacting them, also check out douglas.bc.ca and http://www.kwantlen.ca/calendar/programs/bpn.html. In regards to preparing for your examination this site http://www.crpnbc.ca/orientation_exam.pdf is very helpful as it provide a list of self study materials. Exam preparation course if also available, the contacts are stated on the website. Good luck to you!
