CRNE Prep course in Winnipeg, Manitoba?

by rini80

Hello,

I am just wondering if anyone knows about the CRNE prep course in Winnipeg, Manitoba. I am in 4th year nursing actually studying in Ontario, but soon I am moving to Winnipeg, Manitoba- I'll be doing pre-grad in Winnipeg then start working there as well- so I have no idea if there's any CRNE prep course that I can take in Winnipeg, Manitoba. I was looking at google but all I could find was the prep courses in Toronto areas or BC (i.e. NEI or George Brown college). If anyone knows please post here for me then I'd SUPER appreciate! =)

Contact the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (see the sticky on the home page of this forum) and ask them.

Hi Janfrn,

Thanks for the reply. But one more question if you don't mind. =)
When I went to the website of Registered Nurses of Manitoba as you suggested, all the info were about the CRNE itself and those prep *books* that I can purchase for CRNE, but there were no info about those prep *courses*. For example, one of institution offers 1 week of prep class of CRNE with $300 but that was in Toronto. So, Do you think I can still get info if I call them? I really didn't think they know it since it's not an official course offered by CNO or regulatory bodies (maybe it is.. at least I think it is not though); that was reason why I googled it and threw a thread here, but if that's the case then I would call them right away to ask. So, please reply me again for me~ or anyone else more than welcome to reply~~ Thanks in advance! =)

If there are prep courses or review courses being run, even informal ones, they should know. (A past president of CRNM is a friend of mine; she knew what was going on all over the province.) It certainly wouldn't hurt to contact them, either through the website or by mail or phone. What's the worst that can happen? They won't have the information you want. Will you be any worse off? No.
