Re: crne help please
Hi guys,
For those of you who are writing the exam in the next round, you could try Mosby's Prep guide for the CRNE by Marshall - Henty and Bradshaw, published by Elsevier.
They had different questions to the CNA prep guide, so it was a good way to get more practice.
I sat my exam in October 2008, and passed. I wasn't working in a hospital at the time, and Occupational Health is my specialty, so I really had to raise my game and knuckle down. I even bought a Lippincott Manual of nursing practice to help refresh my failing general memory!!
It really wasn't as bad as I thought, but that may just be hindsight talking!! One of the main things to remember is to read the stem of question. Pay attention to those words, like : the
most important, the
first thing to do. The answer choices may not match exactly what you would do, but that's where the need to read the question carefully pays off.
Good luck guys, and remember to eat a good breakfast, don't forget your ID and documentation, take some music to listen to at the lunch break....... Jeez, I sound like my mum.....
