can I work in Ont. with my ADN?

Hello all,I am a canadian citizen and i am completing an ADN program in detroit Michigan, right now, but I am wondering once I am done, can I come back to ontario and get a job? Will they endorse my RN license? I heard that in BC if you have an Associates degree that you can be hired as long as you are in the process of completing a bachelors,...is it the same in ontario. Thanks guys!

Ontario requires the BSN for initial licensure there, ypu will need to complete the other two years before they will give you a license there.

Two years is equivalent to the LPN there, if you are looking at time spent. Each province can function on its own, just like states inthe US, and this is their requirement.

It's not even equivalent to the LPN because Ontario's RPNs do three years now, unlike LPNs in the rest of the country. You may want to contact CNO to see how this ruling affects you though. They are really the only ones who can answer your question with any authority.
