Hi there...I am a third year nursing student at Mount Royal and I pretty much did the same thing as other people have done on this thread (taking 5 college courses that are be elective courses in nursing in the fall semester and apply for admission). I also want to let you know that the Mt. Royal program is a Bachelor of Nursing program and not a BScN. You only have to take a year of pure biology, a combined pharmacology and pathophysiology course for the sciences portion the rest would be blended with your nursing courses such as your blocks. As long as you have 2.5 GPA you should be fine but since it is a competitive program, having at least a 3.0 GPA would secure you to get into the program. Good luck and let us know if you get in!

I got accepted into the Fall 2006 MRC/AU BN program. I was 35 when I applied and had a 3.8 in a U.S. Associates in Bus Admin degree. I got a conditional acceptance, and had to take Chem 30 in order to be accepted. I did that and was accepted.. now I'll be done in December 09. I'm so happy I went for it! I'm about to lose my mind to finish my last pre-reqs in order to start my final practicum in the Fall... but nothing will stop me now hehe. It's a great program btw.

I would suggest not taking the A&P classes unless you can do really well in them. You wouldn't want them to knock your GPA down before you get accepted. Most of the nursing students say A&P was their lowest graded course. But if you love the sciences and put in the time.. you can do it.
