Any nurses in Thunder Bay?

I know, don't remind me!
Like I said, we lived there up until about 3 1/2 year ago, and have been in Calgary since. We love it here, but unfortunately my husband just lost his job and can't find another suitable position here that will financially enable us to stay. He did get an offer, which he accepted, in Tbay which actually pays more than he was making here, go figure.
So I'm still pretty bummed about having to move back, but that's a whole other issue altogether, and one in which I don't seem to have much, if any, choice.
I'm just wondering if what I've heard is correct and that they're basically dying for nurses there. NO offense to anyone if that's their cup of tea, but I would almost rather work at McDonald's than work in a LTC facility or doing home health care or health education for Dilico or something. I've got my heart set on L&D, maternity/post-partum, well-baby nursery, etc and would actually re-think even getting my degree at all if I knew that I would be hard-pressed to find such a position there (obviously if I need a bit of experience first, that's fine, but I'm talking within a couple years at most).
