American RN to Canadian BScN

Hello,

Can a Canadian with an American RN associates degree apply for the BScN program in Canada? If so, how long would the program be? As a LPN in Canada, I'm hoping to complete the American RN and then come back and complete the Canadian BScN. Does anyone have any advice with this process? Will it help me get there any faster?

Thank you
Suzie

The program will be at least two years, but be aware that you will not be able to work in the roll of the RN while going thru the Canadian program as you need the BSN for practice there in most provinces.

Would have to ask what your final goal is, to work in the US or Canada? Going to the US to do a bridge program just tio get the RN and then return to Canada will not speed you up in working in Canada as an RN. I would just complete the training in Canada. There are waiting lists at many of the bridge programs in the US now.
