by obes99

I am a diploma RN looking to get my degree online. I heard great things about Charles Sturt University in Australia. Where can i find info on recognition and accreditation? will it be recognized in Ontario?
I'm open to hearing about other options aswell

Listen List of Online RN to BScN programs
I've been looking into the same thing. The schools I have found so far that offer Post RN to BScN are:

Laurentian University http://www.laurentian.ca/
University of Calgary http://www.ucalgary.ca/NU/
University of Victoria, BC http://www.uvic.ca/
University of Northern British Columbia http://www.uvic.ca/
Athabasca University http://www.athabascau.ca/
Dalhousie University http://www.dal.ca/
Ryerson http://www.ryerson.ca/
University of British Columbia http://www.ubc.ca/
University of Manitoba http://www.umanitoba.ca/
University of New Brunswick http://www.unb.ca/
University of Ottawa http://www.uottawa.ca/
University of Western Ontario http://www.uwo.ca/
University of Windsor http://www.uwindsor.ca/nursing/

Now some of these places I emailed for more info and they replied stating they didn't have distance Ed. But most of them do. Good luck with your search.

Try these links as well.

www.campusaccess.com
www.allnursingschools.com
www.distanceedcanada.ca

I did my degree via Laurentian University distance education program (Sudbury). My girlfriend(s) went via Lakehead University (Thunder Bay, ON) and Athabasca (Alberta). Athabasca will give you a Bachelor Degree in Nursing. Laurentian gives you a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing. It depends on what you want.

Hope this helps.

Be sure to shop around and see who will give you the most for your previous education/employment background. Mail your transcripts out to a few and see what they will exempt you from. Save yourself some dollars in the long run.
