York University-second entry nursing students for Sept 2013

Hey everyone,

I got accepted to second entry nursing at York University on Feb 6th and I am really excited about it -finally starting something new and fresh :)

I added this new thread for students who got accepted or students who applied and are awaiting a response from York. I would love to befriend new nursing students even before the program starts.

Congratz to everyone that got in :). I'm still waiting for mine . Last week I was 5th on the wait list, so I got my fingers crossed. Btw, do you guys mind sharing what your cGPA and last 30 credits were?

I was 3rd on the waitlist the week before last so you should be at least 2nd by now :)

I was accepted (as an internal student) on may 28th, but they didn't send me anything to let me know so I just found out today. No email, no snail mail... nothing. Strange. Did anyone else have this problem?

I just got a letter, no email or call and it hasn't even shown up on the program change request status thing yet.

My guess is your letter was either sent to the wrong address or lost in the mail.

Hey guys,

I am an internal applicant as well. When you called to ask if youve been accepted, who did you call? I called nursing Dept. several times and they just tell me to wait till end of june or even early july since they may be waiting for spots. And everytime I call admissions, they tranfer my call to Nursing Dept. so who did you guys speak with?? Since I dont even know if I am even on a waitlist and my decision still says : no decision yet on the york website!

I just called the admissions office to find out what the status of my application and they asked for my student number and put my application to be reviewed immediately... the number I called was 416-736-5000 and then undergraduate.. they shouldn't be transferring you since admissions will be able to look into your application and give u an idea about the status of ur application.
