World Canada CA Programs

Hey guys,

I just recently accepted my offer for York Second Entry Nursing program. Let me know if any of you are waiting or have already accepted your offer for the program there. It would be great to get in touch with few of you before hand! :)

Hey Heartstrings!

I've gotten accepted and my grades were quite similar to yours (75 cumulative, 79 last 30 credits) - I graduated last April with my Bsc in Human Kinetics. I heard from Humber first and was worried I wouldn't hear from York before my deadline to accept Humber so I called and she said they will be sending out acceptances till the end of May!

Hope this helps with the wait - Fingers crossed for you :)

Thanks for the kind words hsamimi and Dash88!

I just checked MyFile and it says I got admitted!! I'll be accepting the offer once my application on OUAC updates.

I live in Waterloo, that's pretty close!!This is what I got from york's website regarding enrollment appointments : You will then receive an email that will outline a list of suggested courses for you to take in your first year.* At this time, you can enrol in courses using the REM system. Please note, if you are expecting to receive transfer credit, the Distance Advisor will send you a list of suggested courses to enrol in once your transfer credit has been assessed.Heartstrings, congrats!! I knew u would get in :)

Hey guys,

Sorry for the inconvenience. Group's privacy settings weren't set properly.

Search it up again, you should be able to find it now: York University 2nd Entry BScN Class of 2014

Can't wait to meet you all soon in September! I am a previous York Alumni, so if you have any York related question feel free to ask :)

@Heartstrings Congrats!!!

I am a previous York alumni as well. What Did you major in? Btw, I still can't find the Facebook group :(

I can't find it either!

Excellent I have a York related question - I'm thinking I will most likely be taking the go train most days and I can't find a map with a scale on it! How long of a walk would you say it is from the go train to say the opposite end of campus? It looks like one of my morning classes is at the opposite end and the train might not get me there in time to get to the building!

found it!! look for [color=#575757]york university 2nd entry bscn class of 2014

@hsamimi, I majored in Health management..what about you? :) Oh and I didn't post up the link because its against forum regulation I believe. Glad to see you found it though!

@dash88, there is no Gotrain service till York but there are Gobuses..they come right inside the campus so from Nursing building its 2 minutes walk! They also have TTC, Viva, YRT, Brampton Transit and Zoom that comes right inside the campus..one of the things I love about York..so easy to commute.

@TobeNursey, Sorry I did not know about that as I am new to this forum. I majored in Kinesiology and Health Science. I really miss York!! Can't wait to go back :)

Hey guys! So glad I came across this..Looks like I'll be joining you all in September. :)..Has anyone started the CPR/Police Check/Immunizations yet? I tried to contact the nursing dept. about specifics, but haven't heard anything yet! And I can't really find anything on York's website explaining it.

Hey Trace!

I was assuming we'll find that stuff out during our enrollment appoint? Does anyone know any different? Check out the fb group and join!
