I am starting a thread for UFV, Sept 2013 applicants (thus the title)

I am a Jan 2013 reject and hoping for a spot in the fall. Is anyone here a repeat applicant?

It was my first time applying and didn't know what to expect so I was very nervous but I feel it went well! Whoa paraston, your interview was almost 2 hours long? Yes super excited for May, fingers crossed everyone!

Crap now I'm freaking out. I hope I get a good person to interview me. Last intake I got someone really intimidating and I felt very uncomfortable. Hopefully all goes well. Excellent work everyone. I hope things will look up. Any pointers will be great. Paraston did they ask a couple questions from last intake? .. Does anyone remember what the essay questions were on. I totally forgot. I'm trying to figure out the answers I gave Lol

for those who are wondering what kind of questions we had in our tonight info session they were something like...a) you are writing an exam and you notice the person next to you is cheating. What do you do?B) tell a time u have been unsuccessful and what are some factors that had made you unsuccessfulC) you are behind three days late in writing a paper. What are you thinking[/quote']

These were the questions asked. Can't even remember my answers either haha.

Riri.g I didn't make it as far as the interview last time, so I'm not sure if they're the same questions. A lot of very standard non-nursing related questions like "how do you handle stress" and "how do you prioritize when you have 5 things that need to be done" there seemed to be emphasis on stress related questions to see how you can handle the program load.

did you guys get your cpr and first aid before you applied?

Yes I think it was a requirement. From what I remember I needed to email in my certificate to prove I had it.

yes i am certain that you must have your cpr and first aid completed before you apply. they are requirements as they complete your application :)

Woohoo Joyith3!! That's awesome! I don't know much about the LPN access route, but out of the 12 interviewed, how many get accepted?? Sounds like you have a good chance...keep us posted! :)

So.... I just had my interview and I'm not sure what to think about it Lol. How long was everyone's interview so far..?

Did you get a different person than last year riri.g? Why are you unsure about it?? Mine was about 1hr 45min...how long was yours?

Half an hour and Yeah I did. Why was yours soo long?! How many questions did she ask you? Holy now I'm not happy. She probably cut more short whatever. I'm not happy.

Specializes in Medical and general practice now LTC.

Please be careful and not discuss actual questions that are asked as this may be unfair to others who then have a chance to prepare plus I am sure the university doesn't want questions posted everywhere

Don't worry I'm not asking for the questions. I am curious on how many questions were asked. Half an hour interview vs an hour+ doesn't quite balanced out. Doesn't seem like a good sign. I'm so depressed now Lol
