RPN to RN

World Canada CA Programs

Published

Hi guys,

I am going to complete my RPN education this year, however the school I am at doesn't allow us to write our CNO until the end of July which looks like it makes me ineligible at a lot of the RPN bridge to RN programs. Does anyone know if they will give conditional offers to pass in September/October?

With my RPN nursing background I am thinking of just applying to the compressed programs if I can't apply to the bridge. Does anyone have experience with this and what schools you are at/applied to?

Did anyone apply to collaborative programs?

What do you mean by a compressed program? Any program that takes you from RPN to RN is a bridge.

Compressed program is an accelerated BScN degree. Ex: Trent's compressed program requires you complete 1 full year of undergrad or a college diploma WITHOUT being registered with the CNO.

Since my college doesn't allow us to be registered until after July, I am ineligible to bridging programs (I think hence my question) which is why I am wondering if going compressed is another option.

I believe some schools do offer a conditional acceptance.
