I got accepted into the BN program at Humber, after taking GAS.

Do I have to take A&P again? I already took the same program in GAS.

Generally yes. The program you took in GAS was a college level A&P course and you'll be expected to learn things much deeper now that you are pursuing a degree.

Hey, so I just had some questions about the GAS program at Humber I just got accepted to it and am using it as a stepping stone towards their RN program afterwards. Just wanted to ask if you guys knew anything about the program and how it is and if you know any students that have done anything similar to what I am? Thanks for any help

that is a one year program, many students who take it intend to become Nurses. At Humber your courses will be Critical Thinking, Mathematics for both semesters, Chemistry, Microsoft Office, and English for both semesters. That Microsoft Office class is easy and tedious, you may feel tempted to cheat because it's a mostly online course, but it's not worth it. Believe me, you'll be caught. Chemistry may be a bit challenging for those who don't have much of a scientific background. Mathematics... Is basic math, fractions, y-intercepts, decimals, adding, multiplying, dividing fractions. You'll be doing conversions next semester. If you dedicate yourself you'll find it easy to get 75-80% or more on every course. Last I heard, you need at least 80% to get into the RN program, that's exactly what I had, 80%. Second semester is Biology, Anatomy and Physiology, Literature, Mathematics and English.

Hey thanks so much for getting back to me. I have taken some science and calculus courses throughout hight school so hopefully they will be able to help me out. Pretty much as long as you do the day to day work you should be able to do fine. Once again thanks so much for getting back to me.

Are there any mature students that fount this pathway course to be difficult? I haven't been in school for over 20 years and I'm wondering if this class will be hard to get through. I don't want to get discouraged right off that the bat since my goal is to be an RN. Thanks in advance to anyone that answers! Cheers.

I know this thread is old but I am starting advance pre-health (GAS) to get into the RN program and I am wondering when I apply in Feb for the RN program do you have to write the enterance test again or do they just take your marks and if high enough you get a seat?

Also dumb question but are you allowed to use a calculator in class?

I am thinking of doing the GAS at Humber too. Can you tell me how you found the course? was it hard? I am so hoping to get into the BN program as well. Any tips you can give me? Also silly question but I am looking at a laptop for class that I can use for PRe-Health but also in BN program, I am wondering if a Chromebook would be good or should I buy an actual laptop? Any tips, advice would be great.

I recently put in my application for the pre-health science program starting in the fall of this year. Is there anyone here who completed the program without taking biology or chemistry back in highschool?

What was your experience like?
