BCIT August 2013 Applicants

World Canada CA Programs

Hello future nurses,

I am so excited to be starting nursing at BCIT in August!

For future applicants: To have a strong application make sure you have work experience, volunteer experience (preferably healthcare), as well as liberal arts courses - my Psych 241 at SFU transferred over as a libs course and I will find out if any other courses of mine transfer over once I send them an updated transcript.

I am going to be going in with a completed BSc in Kinesiology and Psychology, but a full degree is not necessary, just at least 60 credits to be competitive!

Anyone else defer to August?

I didnt receive an email either. I just checked and received provisional acceptance. Good luck to everyone still waiting and I cant wait until august now

Acceptance offered!! My heart is racing like crazy!

How do we confirm our acceptance?

Status still hasn't changed... Getting worried :(

Does anyone know if theyve sent out non offers yet?

This wait is seriously getting to me. I wish they would've sent out everyone's emails all at once so no one would have to sit around and wait. I never in my entire life want to see the words 'pending department review' ever again!

You pay a $200 fee to secure your acceptance; it will be used towards tuition fees.

Acceptance!

They didn't email me telling me to pay yet though ?

Still pending as well...

So nervous I can't concentrate in class. D:

Has anyone received an email about immunization records?

I received the email. A friend of mine who is in the program said if you are having trouble attaining immunization records, BCIT Health Services will supply vaccination. I'm heading down to BCIT tomorrow to confirm.

Does anyone know where and how to locate records of immunization that are affiliated with the Vancouver School Board. I remember taking shots when I was in elementary. Is there a public health nurse associated with VSB?
