BCIT August 2013 Applicants

World Canada CA Programs

Published

Hello future nurses,

I am so excited to be starting nursing at BCIT in August!

For future applicants: To have a strong application make sure you have work experience, volunteer experience (preferably healthcare), as well as liberal arts courses - my Psych 241 at SFU transferred over as a libs course and I will find out if any other courses of mine transfer over once I send them an updated transcript.

I am going to be going in with a completed BSc in Kinesiology and Psychology, but a full degree is not necessary, just at least 60 credits to be competitive!

Anyone else defer to August?

Submitted!

Now out of my hands. Feeling both relieved and terrified.

I was watching the October 2012 info session..it said August 2013 applicants will know of acceptance by April 30..but the short listing info said final status by may 10...hmmm...it's only 10 days but I just wanna know already!!

Okay thats nice to hear! thanks guys! This seems like the best program that i've personally heard about such a great opportunity for all of us good luck and god bless.

Hey guys, I would like to say good luck to all of you and I hope we ALL hear some great news by the end of this month, hopefully! :)

Goodluck to everyone :) this has been a great thread with some great helpful ppl!! Hopefully see you all in August

They start reviewing all the applications today!!

Based on last year's August intake, we should start hearing back from them in less than 3 weeks!

That's awesome news Chiseen! Thank you for informing us:) How did you find out? :o

I was going through last august intake's thread on this forum and people got acceptance emails on April 24/25th until the 30th or so and then wait list came out, followed by rejections

Oh I see, Thanks so much! So we could hear back in 18 days!

I've been imagining it to be the 25th when we hear back. 2.5 weeks. :nailbiting:

Do you think they'll call the references? I'm thinking they may not cause there is already so much to review from the questionnaire.

I don't think they will. I also don't think the questionnaire will have a huge impact - I think it will be the bigger picture ( credits, volunteer work, program committment).
