Anyone started to prepare for CRNE June 2012?

Congratulations louise1821, so glad to hear the good news. All the best with the job search. Keep in touch

I definitely will, I'm sure you will find that dream job looking after all those little babies, maybe I'll be delivering them one day!!

Already sent my application for registration and forwarded my resume to the local University Hosp, and some other RN positions.

Hi,

Can someone suggest good/reputed CRNE prep courses. Or has anyone taken or know someone who taken these or other prep courses. I found a couple, but confused on which to take:

1) Toronto School of Nursing (11 day)

2) Nurses Education Inc (12day/14 day/1month)

thnks

I am so happy I found out that I passed. I just came back from Niagara. I took some relatives to see the falls for the last couple of days and was so anxious so open my mail! I opened and found out that I PASSED! I am so happy as I failed the first time and was very worried about because you come out feeling like you are drained. Now I have to find a job !!!!!!!!! Good luck to everyone who hasn't received their results yet, it seems though like everyone has. To those who have failed, please do not get down on yourself. Study study study and you will succeed! God bless you, you will make it!!!!!

Omojesu, I am sad to learn of your results. Study tips I used: I started slowly in April. Everyday I would look through some questions and touch up on my class notes on medical conditions. More specifically nursing interventions, complications, s/s. Then from May 1st, I paired with a friend. We would agree on what diseases we would focus on during the day, system by system. In the night, we would discuss overy the phone from every 9pm. Depending on topics covered during the day, we would stay on the phone for 3 to 4 hrs. We did not meet over the phone for only 4 days in total. We also encouraged each other to do as many questions as possible and this improved on our speed. I remember our teacher telling us to work on our speed (the whole class) stating that, not finishing the questions is a disadvantage. 4 days to the exam, we did not meet over the phone but concentrated on areas we felt we needed to seriously individually look at. When we were doing questions, we would also write down what we felt were unique situations and answers and discussed that as well.

We were both worried when we came out of the exam; but we both made it. Depending when you want to re-do the exam, I would encourage you to start early, and map out a plan that you will follow. Start with the areas you feel are challenging so that at the end you can go back and revise those areas as well. More importantly find someone to work with, experience has shown me that the more you discuss verbally the more you remember when you come across a similar situation.

Hope this helps, and you will do it!

I am grateful to my heavenly Father for granting me a miracle. I lift Him up for granting me success. If it wasn't for the Lord my God, I would have surely failed. I received my results and I passed. To those who did not make it, I encourage you not to give up. Rise up and get to write the next one, you will make it!

Amen. all praise to Him. congrats.

thanks!

thanks!

wishing you the best and success on your next attempt.

I give God all the praise, thanks, honour and adoration for giving me success, I recieved my result today and I passed, to God be the glory. GOD IS GOOD, I will continue to worship and praise him. I am an IEN, I am so happy, praise, praise, praise ddddddddd L-O-R-D. For those of you who did not make it, do not give up, just study hard, do as many questions as possible, fast and pray more often and depend on him for guidiance/direction, start studying early, like 4 -6months to the exam. You have some knowledge from this exam already, you will surely make it next time, God bless you all and give you the strength and courage to move on.

Hi

If you are an IEN, CARE bridging for Internationally Educated Nurses offers a 40 hour program which I took and it was great. It was 350CAD.

Can I please get their contact?

Thanks all, really appreciate it! Its just that so much was dependent on me passing that exam, I guess Man proposes, God in his infinite wisdom makes all things beautiful in his time.....
