CNO Jurisprudence Exam

World Canada CRNE

Published

Has anyone who is going to register as an RN, RPN or NP in Ontario written the new Jurisprudence exam? I just wrote it now and it was just terrible. And I don't even have my results yet. Frustrating and just awful.

I saw that too...:banghead:

Just opened my email and received my results! Passed :) Hope everyone waiting has positive results as well. Hopefully the next round of students that write receive thier results in a timely manner as the process is streamlined. We are the guinea pigs; ermm' pioneers.

I received mine an hour ago.Passed. Next, I will have to fight with CNO to get my temporary license.

Just woken from night shift..... No still nothing... its driving me nuts !

Have just had "live chat" with Yardstick here is the reult...

Sorry about this, there has been a delay in sending out the results, but we hope to have them all sent by end of day tomorrow.you: Thank you..Some people do have results .. others dont .. on Nurses forum people getting very anxious.. is there a system to results being sent out ? Ie alphabetical, geographic, pass/fail ?

John: Unfortunately I do not have the details as to why there is a delay in processing the results. Our developers have been looking into it. Results have been released to people beginning yesterday

To all those still waiting like me.... good luck.

I finally got my results at 4:18 pm. I am from Toronto. I passed! I wrote it on January 19th

The wait is ridiculous and I sympathize with those waiting. This is truly unprofessional on their part.

Wishing good news to all of you!

Finally got my results one hour ago, Passed!

Just received my results. A pass. Now comes dealing with the CNO to get a license I should have had before January.Good luck to you all, i'm sure you all will pass with flying colours! Keep on them, if you don't see your e-mail by end of day tomorrow, call them and inquire! They shouldn't be allowed to get away with this garbage.

ONnurse85: I need to get my temporary license very urgently too, since I have a job I need to start on Feb 25th. One of my friends called CNO today, and was told RPN applicants can no longer apply for temporary license, because they are sending out the results of the written exam now. If that is true, I would have to wait two more month to start my new job. So frustrating...On the other hand, CNO customer service representatives don't know what they are doing half of the times. I'll call them to verify this tomorrow.

is anyone out there still waiting? I feel like the last one :(

Go onto the Internet and look up Yardstick software .. then click onto online learning. You then get to "live chat" there is someone who can advise you. I contacted them several times and finally found out yesterday they had been sending my results to an incorrect (actually totally different email) I ceratinly would not sit and wait. You should have it now. By the way I passed so very relieved... good luck..

I'm sorry, beensnowing! I feel your pain. Today I found out that for 3 months nobody at the CNO has bothered to tell me that I either need to be registered in Alberta first before applying in Ontario, or instead they will take months to see if my educational degree meets competencies and standards (I took a nursing degree in western canada at a university).*This after 3 months of "assessing". What have they been doing for 3 months? Napping? Marking the Jurisprudence exam? Haha. These people answer to no one and are by far and large the most incompetent organization I have ever encountered. It's embarassing to a profession and a terrible first exposure to a "nursing governing body". What a joke. Thanks for letting me vent, all!*
