Canadian CRNE & NCLEX Exam passed but not get license

Hello fellow BScN graduate RN nurses! I need help please,,what a bad luck i have.

I have failed CRNEx2 and than i took USA NCLEX once and failed than i just try my last 3rd try with CNO and with God grace I passed CNO NCLEX with last 3rd try.

I was so happy but after 3 months i passed the exam,,CNO wrote me a letter mentioning that they want committee to review my case ,,,as it is my 4th try passing including (3 Canadian +1 usa),,,they are not issuing me a licence even i passed,,,,, CNO want me to write letter to them,,,do you guys have any suggestions for letter,,,,i was not aware that CNO will consider its my 4th try otherwise i would have not wrote it for USA

Does anyone has situation like me ? if yes than how did you handle it,,,or what reason you guys had provided when you requested to write exam 4th time? please help me if possible

Canada has always had a three writes/three fails and you are out policy.

The very rare fourth writing of any registration exam has only been permitted in very, very rare circumstances. It's almost the unicorn of the Canadian Nursing world. There have been posters who claim to know someone, who knows someone who did it, but when pushed for examples, they never return.

Think, like you coded during the exam. That might have got you a fourth try

Did you think CNO would not find out that you attempted/failed the NCLEX for a USBoN? When applying for your third Canadian attempt did you fail to disclose that you attempted the NCLEX? Errors of omission are just as serious as commission. If you failed to disclose to CNO that you took the NCLEX for a U.S. BoN that may be considered a falsification of your application.

Thanks Fiona59,,,,I understand it but if its about to give me 4th try writting exam than its understable but i passed with 3 canadian try and still i donot know why they are not giving me license. I hope they consider me and issue license,,, do you have any suggestion that might help me,,its running my 4 years degree,,,i am very stressed,,, can I have your email id please if you donot mind

Thanks JustBeachyNurse!!!!I did mentioned them after my 2nd try of CRNE that i wrote NCLEX with USA Board via phone and still they allow me to write NCLEX for CNO. Do you mind if I have you email ID please,,,,i really need help.,,,Thanks again

They are not giving you a license as you failed three times, it sounds like a clerical error when issued a fourth attempt. CNO is very clear three strikes at CRNE, NCLEX or any combination of the two exams (regardless if you took the exam for US or Canada) and you must return to school or have significant extenuating circumstances to be given a fourth attempt. Henry why you just appeal. Why did you fail three attempts at passing the minimum standard licensing exam and deserved a fourth attempt? This what the CNO is asking for you to explain. We cannot explain why you failed and deserved another attempt, only you can explain and provide evidence.
