    I know its kind of too late now, but just for informational purposes....... where do you find your camp nursing jobs? I do not want to do residential, and I want it to be close by. ( Hartford County, CT area) Any info will be helpful as I am a school RN and school is almost over. THX!

    Sorry to not have exact information in your area, but I am posting to say you might not necessarily give up on this year. We sometimes have problems getting all the nurses we need here at our camp, so there very well might be camps in your area that are understaffed for this summer.

    You could find other Y camps like ours at Find YMCA Camps - Search for Terrific YMCA Camps located in the United States

    I went to a Camp Fair (meant to attract campers) with a few copies of my resume. When I saw camps that fit my needs (coed camp for my 7 and 9 year old kids), I approached the representative and started networking. The ones that weren't hiring seemed genuinely glad to meet me and steered me toward others who were looking for nurses. I was lucky enough to find a perfect fit and my kids could not be more excited about going to camp this summer!
