Nurse Re: New England Camp Conference - March 2006
Yes, I did go to the conference - it was very informative for me as a relatively new nurse. I learned about policy, law, how to set up the health center, and how to interact with the campers in a positive way. There was a fabulous keynote speaker named Robert Brooks who spoke on psychological aspects of children, what makes a resilient child and how the camp staff can facilitate positive growth in the campers. I went away very empowered that I can make a difference.
