I had a student mentor with me this year, I wonder if I could take her for a week of camp nursing? I'll have to ask her if she's interested.

I'm returning for my second year as the nurse at Hochelaga in VT. Last summer I had some nursing students shadow a few days with me (which was funny because i had JUST graduated). It was organized when my camp director called one of my professors for a reference on me, she said she's give a reference if we took some students!
I let the student do basic first aid, talk with the kids, and review the next session's Health Forms (they signed a confidentiality sheet). I dispensed meds myself, or specifically said what to give and watched. I gave a tour of camp and described my job there and what it was like.
If anyone in the Northern VT area is interested in shadowing a few days for summer 2008 (not the whole week/summer), feel free to email me:
