I'm excited, I think I finally decided on SFState over CSUEB...I've signed up for orientation for the university this summer but we won't have a nursing one until fall since we start in spring right? - May 27, '11 by LaAngelitaQuote from sarahrubyHi, Sarahruby.Hello!

I think you're right. I was told that our orientation would be sometime in October and that we would hear more in June. What classes are you going to be taking this fall? I was surprised by the new requirement for needing to be registered in the fall even though we don't start until Spring. I am going to try to finish my Segment III GE's. - May 27, '11 by sarahrubyThat's a great question! I'm really not sure, when I looked at my 'DARS' report on MYSFSU it looked like I have so much to do before graduation! I think I'm going to go see a counselor.
- May 27, '11 by LaAngelitaQuote from sarahrubySeeing a counselor is a good idea. Are you transferring from a community college. If so check out CSUmentor.com. It compiles a lot of the same info you can get from a counselor and really helped me out. Take care! That's a great question! - Jun 12, '11 by kreyes87hi guys! just wondering if any of you guys have decided on a segment 3 cluster yet? i've looked online at the ones i'm really interested in, but when i checked the class selection online a lot of the classes weren't available. i really want to choose a cluster where i can finish all 9 units in one semester...
- Jun 12, '11 by LaAngelitaI haven't decided yet because I'm going to choose mine based on availability on August 1st (my reg. date). But the good thing is that only two have to be in one cluster. The other one can be from the same cluster or any other. So all you need to do is find two Seg III's that are available in your chosen cluster and then the other one is kind of a freebie. I hope that helps!
- Jun 25, '11 by angelxeternityHey Everyone!
I got accepted to the Fall 2011 BSN program at SFSU, but there doesn't seem to be anyone on this forum who was as well. So, feeling a bit lonely, I decided to drop in here and say hi =). Most likely we'd probably be running into each other at school or in clinicals at some point or another anyways lol.
I'm a continuing SFSU student and I saw some of you have questions about segment III clusters/classes. Generally, the Human Sexuality cluster is known to be the easiest and most interesting of the choices. However, i DO NOT recommend taking all 3 classes at 1 time because each class requires at least 1 10 research paper amongst other assignments. This paper rule is standard for all segment III classes no matter which cluster you're in. I'd also steer clear of any classes that have "GWAR" at the end of the title. These are heavy writing classes which are meant to subsidize the JEPET (Junior level writing proficiency test). As nursing students we already have a GWAR class built into our program so save yourself some work and take something else lol.
Anyhoo...sorry for the long post, if you guys have any questions feel free to ask. And, congratulations to everyone =)!pandaluvgame and Bzepeda73 like this. - Jun 25, '11 by angelxeternityQuote from LaAngelitaThe last class isn't exactly a freebie persay...you can just chose your last class from any other segment III cluster, but you still have to take a total of 3.I haven't decided yet because I'm going to choose mine based on availability on August 1st (my reg. date).
