Pasadena City College RN program - Page 4
Register Today!- Apr 22, '11 by snookiejcWas the orientation for all Fall 2011 students, or just LVN-RN students? I called PCC on April 8th and I was told they weren't making decisions for the straight RN program until May. Hope I didn't miss the boat. =(
Quote from amazinluv3@ ciela. got an email. there orientation is tomorrow Apr 20th. - Apr 28, '11 by mint4321Quote from snookiejcHi snookiejc. I don't think that the straight RN applicant have heard yet. Also--I think that last year they didn't hear until June, even thought they said May. I'm not sure why, though. I am hoping that was just last year and that this year they'll be able to tell people sooner. Was the orientation for all Fall 2011 students, or just LVN-RN students? - Apr 28, '11 by snookiejcOk, thanks so much for the information. Yes, I read that it took until June last year... that bites. I'm with you... hope that was a one time thing! Have you applied anywhere else?
- Apr 29, '11 by mint4321yes...I've applied and got into another program and it's a BSN program. I'm happy to have gotten in, but I'm actually still considering PCC b/c it's a much better location for me and a better time frame. I'd plan to continue with a bridge program to get my BSN. We'll see....I haven't decided yet, and can't really, until we hear from PCC!
- Apr 29, '11 by Minnie02Hey! When is the next application time for PCC?
@mint4321 - you should take the BSN route, as New RN grads don't a get job easily. Having your BSN, will be a plus. And you could save more too. - Apr 29, '11 by snookiejcAugust 1-Sept 1

You're right though, you cannot make any decisions about PCC until they get those notifications out. Ugh, I hate having to be patient!!!

At PCC I could keep up my volunteering at the hospitals i'm at and possibly even work as a CNA (the BSN program I got into is an accelerated program.. That could feed right into a job when I graduate and then i'd continue with on online ADN-BSN. But when all is said and done, that's not guaranteed either, so I am leaning towards the accelerated program.Hey! When is the next application time for PCC?

- May 1, '11 by mint4321I applied to CSUN's accelerated BSN program for a 2nd Bachelors. I've taken all of my pre-reqs so I'd be ready to start. If I go the PCC route, I'd still have to take a history class and nutrition. --another reason I'm leaning towards CSUN.
