by ellyse Jun 1, '12Despite my initial intentions I am very set on the LVN route. I am 20 years old and am ready to get on with my life. Considering the impactions of all community college programs I am interested in going to a private college, specifically Carrington or Kaplan.
My questions are - does it matter where I go to school? Shouldn't my license and experience suffice?

- Jun 4, '12 by squirrel12Where you go doesn't matter as much as the fact the job outlook is still very poor for new grad LVNs. Private costs a lot of money, and isn't that much of an advantage, many hospitals like RNs with a BSN.
Good luck! - Jun 9, '12 by VeggieBSNI think you should look into RN/BSN programs in your area. Although being a LVN is great, there aren't many job opportunities. But if you would still like to become an LVN, don't go the private school route. They cost a lot for the same education cheaper schools/community schools will give, they're no advantages.
