Register Today!- Oct 21, '11 by baligirlQuote from nocnursesdI just checked and it says as of this morning final review. I am so nervous. Good luck to you I hope we both get in!
Haha I think I replied to that from my phone while just waking up--I hope we both get in, too! We'll have to get the OC gals together and be carpool/study buddies!
Are you working as an LVN now? I'm not. I work at a local hospital as a CNA/PCT--it's gonna be tough while in school, but I'm sure there are plenty of us doing the same thing
- Oct 21, '11 by nocnursesdI am working as an LVN I have been in the field about six years. I am a little worried about how I am going to work around my schedule but I will have to make it work. I wish I could carpool but I actually live in East San Diego County but I have met a few people that do commute from orange county, Did you do the retake of the TEAS and essay that they offered us because of the noise? I didn't because I was worried that I might do as well.
- Oct 22, '11 by nocnursesdQuote from nocnursesdSorry I meant to say that I did not retake it because I thought I might not do as well the second time. lol I need to watch those typosI am working as an LVN I have been in the field about six years. - Oct 22, '11 by nocnursesdQuote from baligirlI did read that post I have heard that other programs require something similar although I am not sure if it is through ATI. I am wondering if we have to pay for the extra test?Okay good--mine says that too! Omg I wonder when we'll find out?! She said sometime in the last week of October, so I'm hoping next week? Did you read the thread about the changing guidelines for NU's program?
- Oct 22, '11 by baligirlQuote from nocnursesdI didn't even catch your typo--I guess I should pay more attention to my reading skills!I did read that post I have heard that other programs require something similar although I am not sure if it is through ATI. Ick, I would hope we wouldn't have to pay more for ATI! Yikes.
Do you have any idea when orientation is? I sent an email on Monday due to holiday work scheduling, but haven't heard a peep back
- Oct 22, '11 by baligirlBtw, I totally understand you not wanting to return and take the test--I almost didn't. Thankfully I did, and scored better than the previous week (not by much though). I didn't rewrite the essay, I was concerned for the same reasons you were

I really hope we make it in...inthink there are between 35-45 applicants. I think my points prior to the essay are around 70, I'm hoping to at least have a shot :-/ I guess it all comes down to that dreaded essay! Eek. - Oct 28, '11 by erinkellyHey!!!! Ok, I also applied for National's Jan 2012 LVN-BSN program. I still haven't heard a thing.. have you guys?! My application still says "Submitted." OMG! that probably means I didn't get in!!!!! Yay another anxious applicant!! I've heard nothing yet except the status of my application still reads final review. My friend who also applied to the program still reads 'submitted' and she's got more points than I, so please know that 'submitted' simply just means they're still reviewing
I'm so nervous--this waiting is driving me bananas!
Are you living in San Diego? Do you think we'll hear anything today? How did you do on the teas?
Excited to have you here with us! <3
- Oct 28, '11 by erinkellyI am SO happy that I found this thread.. I don't know why I hadn't looked for it earlier!! I have seriously been going crazy and don't know another soul that applied.. so its awesome to have people that understand what I am going through here... haha!!! I actually did really well on the TEAS..I got a 94.7, but my science grades are the part Im really concerned about. I had 2 B's and a C! So those aren't so good. Im also nervous about the essay! I am usually a fairly good writer, but the prompt threw me off! I know ------ said the thing they take points for most often is not answering the prompt, and I totally feel like I BS'ed my way through and didn't actually answer the prompt question AT ALL. HAH. Yikes!
Yes I am living in San Diego (currently with my dad/stepmom) while saving money, but I am hoping to find a roomie and move out if I get into school
Im also nervous cause Ive never worked as an LVN or even a CNA!!!!!! Omg.. I'm gonna have a rough road if I actually do get in! haha! I got my LVN license early this year and couldn't find an LVN job.. so Ive been working as a Nanny full time and doing this volunteer/internship program at Palomar Hospital. ANyway.. We are all in this together!! Its been a long time coming, so they better let us know SOON!!!! I check my status everyday and totally freak out every time I get a new email. Haha!! Im a mess!

Glad you were able to find this thread. I also still not have heard anything as of this am. Hopefully we will very soon though right? My status says "final review" but I honestly don't think it means much. At least we know they are reviewing the LVN-BSN cohort applications though right? Best of luck to you!
