Was it easy to find a good paying job after or were there issues because it was a private school?
Does national university or any non profit private school you went to in southern california have a long wait list?
I am looking to get into a RN program somewhere. Public schools are packed and general prereq classes take forever. I have about 11 months left until I am done with my bachelors in allied health at National University. So please any advice on getting into the RN program will help. No negativity wanted here.

Apr 12, '12 by MeriwhenNational University is accredited by CCNE. That's all I can tell you about the school as I didn't go there. Well, I know of one adjunct faculty member, but I doubt that'll really provide any useful info for you to make a decision with.
The job market for new grads in SoCal sucks regardless of what school you went to...perhaps it'll improve by the time you graduate, or it may not. There's no way of knowing. If nursing is really what you want to do, you may just have to take a chance. - Admin

Generally, private schools do not have a long wait list like the public schools, since you have to pay your way (yay to loans!). No wait list is a plus; daunting loans.... Do your research for private schools. There are a TON out there. Make sure you like the mission. Is it accredited (important if you want to further your education)? How are the classes like (in-person or hybrid or online)?
Yay for going for your RN! Hopefully by the time you graduate, the economy will have sorted itself out and there will be jobs aplenty for New Grads RNs.

I am not sure if that will help in finding a job. Currently, it seems like its easy to find any home health job. I am wondering if its that way when you are an RN.

Home health jobs are hits and misses. Most of the ones I've encountered require the 1 year experience, which unfortunately, a lot of new grads don't have.
Being CNA certified is awesome if you've had experience. A few people on various boards have mentioned that with their CNA work at the hospital, they had a better change at getting into NG programs, since, basically, they were internals.
I'm sure you will do fine at NU since you are already enrolled there in a different program, so you know how NU's atmosphere is.
