Wish you lived south instead of north! I've got a pretty far drive as well! I live in Eastlake...so even taking the toll road it's still about 40 minutes! In regards to orientation, I was told we get our schedules that night which will be nice so we can plan our lives around school! I took the CNA course at Kaplan and orientation pretty much consisted of a livescan, trying on scrubs, filing out paperwork, and meeting the DON...so I'm guessing it will be pretty similar?

ooh how exciting! That sounds cool. I'd like to know what my schedule will be like. I get financial assistance that I can't request until I can submit the name of the class and the dates of it. I am the type that likes to tie all loose ends ASAP!
It's about 40 mins for me WITHOUT traffic, and although I am not a morning person I am hoping we have class EARLY so I can beat the morning rush. haha.
I'm super excited! Can't wait to meet up with you at Orientation.
Are you Married? I am, and I'm hoping my Husband is ready to be married to a Nursing student. hahaha. I hear it can get pretty emotional.

Sorry if I'm writing a second post to answer your questions, just trying to boost up my post count lol :wink2:
I am a military spouse, as well! I am so thankful for myCAA and the GI Bill otherwise I don't know how we would have made me going to Kaplan a reality.
I have taken most of my pre-reqs. The only 2 or 3 I might need are Algebra ( I went straight to Stats b/c thats the nursing requirement at most schools) and I've taken Physio but not Anatomy. They do an A & P I/II so I don't know if they'll take my Physio only. I heard that they do all your Gen Ed stuff first and then Nursing Courses, and so we may only have to take a few classes a quarter (or however they break down each session) before they get into the actual nursing stuff. Don't take my word for it though cuz he didn't really get into it...kinda got the brush off when I started asking a bunch of questions. He's an admissions rep so he met his quota with me...on to the next poor sucker lol...
I've added you on facebook :spin: or at least I hope its you!

Yes, I took stats as well. I am worried that I will have to take the college algebra which will **** me off royally if I do. The only thing I did in my undergrad with regards to the science is Bio... haha and I'm sure that won't get me too far for being an RN. I am hoping that I'll only have to take those 3 science courses and that is IT!!!
My husband won't budge with his GI bill to pass it to me. I'm working on him about it. How much does the GI bill pay out when it is passed onto us?
Is your hubby Navy or Marines? Mine is Marines... we're up at Pendleton. I'm so glad we found each other here. It sounds like we have a lot in common, and that's awesome! I feel like I won't be so lonely now on the first day. At least I know 1 person. hehe.
