    Ok, so after you go to the nursing information session, how soon do you get scheduled to take these tests?? and is it true that as long as you pass you have a good chance of getting into the program??

    AND how often do you actually meet up with people. Is it all done on seperate days?? I mean, I do live rougly 200 miles away from ontario haha the application process is going to suck!

    Hi Long, after you attend the nursing orientation, how soon can you get scheduled to take the Compass & PSB-RN test? And after you pass the two tests, how long was the whole process from the time you were interviewed by the Nursing Director to completing the financial aid process?

    Here attached is the Everest College information packet; the same packet you'll receive when you attend their orientation session:So in short, study and pass both entrance exams. Schedule an interview with the administrator and shine in your interview, have a promising answer to the essay portion of the process. Administrator and faculty will review the pool of applicants interview, GPA, essay, etc. and pick 60-80 students to go through financial aid. The first 40 students to complete the financial aid process will be allowed to registered for classes, so it's basically first come first serve like some have stated in the past. That's basically the process in cliffs... and to answer your question, emt_anderson, the tuition cost (I don't know the exact price) is at around $50,000. Cost varies and is lower when you have nursing prereqs completed and cleared by the school. As far as the education quality, I haven't heard a complaint from any of the current students that are on this board, and the few students I've ran into in person stated that although tough (given), they have no complaints about the program.
    Let me know if you have any more questions with anything, I log on everyday so your questions will be read.
    I haven't been around on the boards lately and I've missed a lot of important stuff about the school! Long, thank you very much for the detailed information! I'm really serious about going to this school even though I'm almost 50 miles away! In the meantime, I'll go through the packet and I'll definitely be asking questions afterwards.

    Hi Guys,
    I will soon be an Everest College student come next month and I just wanted to give you guys my insight through the whole process. The application process started for me back in February 2010. The whole month of February was designated for information sessions. There were multiple information sessions available for that month that I was able to fit into my schedule. I work full-time and live about 50 miles away from Ontario but I made the committment to attend the information session. It's actually very helpful and you get an information packet that explains the process of applying. After the information session is over is when you will be able to sign up for the first exam (Compass exam)

    The month of March was for students to come in and take the Compass Exam. Its not very hard at all. I have been out of school for a year so I did some review with sample questions I pulled off from the internet.

    The month of April I went in for the PSB-RN test. This test was a little tricky and I got a nursing entrance book to help me.

    Then came the interview and then a couple of weeks later I got my acceptance phone call. The program is about $50,000 for the whole 2 years there. I was in all of your guys shoes so I hope this information helps whoever's out there trying to get in.

    I'm just wondering what the interview is like? I tend to tense up and somehow forget everything I want to ask and say when I'm in an interview. So I'm super scared whenever I hear I need to do one.

    Does Everest offer evening and weekend classes and/or do they select a schedule for you?

    Congrats jane with being accepted. I didn't receive a phone call this past motnh so I'm gonna give it another shot come August... sigh! Keeping my heads up for next time though... again congrats jane! Please stay in touch with us with your journey!

    Spolini, the interview wasn't that bad at all. I was nervous but once I sat down with one of the nursing instructors she put me to ease. She was nice and understanding and pretty much there to see what I could offer to the nursing profession. If I had to rate the whole application process for me, the compass test was the easiest, then the interview then the PSB-RN test.

    ToysDream, from what I can tell from seeing first quarter schedule of classes, there are no weekend classes. Once clinicals start come third quarter, weekends will be designated for clinicals. For first quarter, classes are offered either in the morning, afternoon or evening and some of the prereqs are offered as online classes.
