- Mar 1, '12 by DarkBluePhoenixOK so I mailed in my TEAS and my final grade for the last pre req (College Algebra) today. It is postmarked today so I hope they accept it. I even called them to verify what they have received, and so everything up until this last piece of stuff is in. They also said as long as it is postmarked today, then they will take it.
Here are my final stats are
Pre-req: 3.83
Overall: 3.15-3.2 depending on what courses they pick and choose to get that GPA.
Teas overall: 84%
Letter of rec: Academic (Professor)
Letter of rec: Character (Supervisor @ work)
Attended info session
May or may not get bilingual efficiency due to my HS only offering ASL for two years instead of 3 like the other languages. I wrote a letter stating that they did not offer the 3rd year because you were either proficient or advanced in ASL by the 2nd year. I hope that they at least make a consideration and give me the appropriate points for it.
I do not live in SB county. I will not get the resident points.
Everyone has really good scores. I hope we all get in. I am also banking on the fact that since CSUSB is like the LAST CSU to send acceptances/denials that others will already have started their nursing somewhere else.
Good luck everyone! - Mar 20, '12 by firesurf523Hi Everyone,
Glad I found this post. I applied for Fall 2012 also.
Here are my stats:
Prereq GPA 4.0 (although that could change as I think I'm about to get a B in algebra because CSUSB didn't accept my algebra from my last college)
TEAS V 84.7%
I am a resident of S.B. county
Two letters of Rec
I attended an info session.
Not bilingual.
Healthcare experience: 9 years as a paramedic (besides checking the box, I don't know how they would know this, except that one of my letters is from a former boss while I was a paramedic)
Good luck to everyone!! I'm anxious. I've talked to some people at school with similar stats who DID get into Fall, but then I've talked to another person who couldn't get in until Winter with those kind of stats. - Mar 20, '12 by Spiffyness@firesurf523 Welcome to the thread! I think you have competitive scores. By July (when we find out about admissions) most people will have already officially accepted to go to another university. Since most people apply to more than 1 college, CSUSB is kinda a back up school for those who live outside of the SB area. I don't really understand why that box was there also (for experience) if they don't require proof. But I think you will get in
Did you apply anywhere else?
- Mar 20, '12 by firesurf523Thank you! I only applied to CSUSB. I applied to Cal State Fullerton but couldn't even get in the college, so that's out. My plan is that if I don't get into CSUSB in Fall or Winter, I will just finish my B.S. as a Health Science major... then I would apply to some of the entry level M.S.N.'s or second bachelor's programs (like Concordia) and go that route.
Your stats are really good too! Great job on the TEAS. I thought it was pretty hard. - Mar 22, '12 by DarkBluePhoenixHey there! Nice to meet you!
I actually just got two emails from CSUSB. One was last week regarding conditional acceptance and the other is an incomplete admissions application. Huh. Oh well. I just wish they would let us know sooner! July is very far away, so hopefully a lot of students choose to go somewhere else. I wonder if they make a giant alternates list for those reasons.
Anyway, your stats are really good. Seems like its either too early for people to post or that many aren't applying to their program? Either way, I hope we get in. - Mar 27, '12 by DarkBluePhoenixAnyone get the email regarding acceptance to the university and deposit is due May 1st?
I am wondering why we should pay the deposit if we don't know if we are in the program yet?
Anyone know what we do? I am going to call tomorrow - Mar 27, '12 by am90Quote from DarkBluePhoenixdid you apply for fall? I got admitted for this spring and I start my first day at CSUSB next week, for their spring semester...when I got my acceptance to the university I didn't have to pay a deposit nor did they ask for a deposit. I think you should call them just to make sure.Anyone get the email regarding acceptance to the university and deposit is due May 1st?
