I’m applying for CSULB’s accelerated program and just want to know from anyone familiar with the program what the acceptance rates were? I’m worried that my GPA in my previous degree won’t be high enough for acceptance. The school requires a GPA of 3.00 for the previous BA/BS, and I have a 3.01. However, I have a 4.0 in my prereqs and have taken several supplementary and/or optional courses all with a 4.0 GPA. I also have pretty extensive volunteer experience, but I’m worried that my lack of determination and ambition towards my first degree will overshadow the determination and desire I have towards what I feel is my true calling! Any suggestions?

  4. Have you tried calling them? I applied for the regular BSN program and they have been really helpful with any questions I have had.
  5. I've spoken extensively with the department/program coordinators and secretary, but of course, they've been giving me the typical "we can't really say what your chances are because it all depends on who else is applying and what your statistics are as a whole". Which is absolutely true! But, someone told me that I had a "good potential" for being competitive with other applicants. But what that means exactly, I don't know! :chuckle
