I used the ATI testing TEAS V book and it was pretty straight forward on the test. I didn't study like I should have (I only studied for about 2 days) but I got an 87. Not quite as good as I wanted, but not too bad. I feel if you study the book, and take the practice tests in the back with ample time to go through the areas that you didn't do so well on you will do great on the test. The ATI book is very very very similar to the test itself!

Good luck, I hope to take it again at some point and do better!

I looked at the material and worked on the stuff that I'd had some difficulty on and studied for about a week at the most on that stuff. I got an 88. I doubt I could have done much better than that though, without studying a LOT more. I used primarily the ATI study guide and also did the online practice tests. Those are VERY similar to the real thing, with a small difference in actual on-screen formatting that is not really all that distracting at first. It's no big deal once you see the difference.

No offense to you all that studied the Teas V book, but I studied that book front to back, page by page, and still didn't get a great score on it. I got a passing score, but nothing better than that. I took the test twice. You should look into other study material as well. I know there are a few other books out there. The Teas book math section is pretty on point to the test. The science is somewhat, but I still would recommend other sources.

I got a 92 and I took the test at San Jose State. The ATI book is pretty much spot on when it comes to reading, math, and language. The practice test for the reading section, especially, is very similar to the test. One word of advice for math: don't memorize formulas or conversions, because those will always be given to you. Definitely brush up on ratios, roman numerals, order of operations, FOIL and fractions.

For science, the ATI book isn't really sufficient. Definitely read and know what they do have, especially on the cell, chemistry, scientific method and mitosis/meiosis, but there will be physiology questions that go beyond the book's scope. I think I benefited from having just finished physio and micro a few months before and doing well in general in my science prereqs. The online test will give you a better idea of what they test you on for science.

i studied the practice tests and did extremely well. when it came to the real thing i got a 82%
i am trying to retake it this friday again. 1 out of 3 of the BSN programs i am applying to let you take it up to twice only and want the best score out of those times [csula]
csulb and i think csusb, you can take it as many times as you want. the only thing is that it is costly. i paid to take it at rio hondo for $65. $30 cash for the school and $35 credit card to ATI.
it really sucks that it costs so much but seriously after spending over $200 on applications and transcripts and crap whats another $100 if it gets me into my program
i am aiming for above 90%
    good luck everyone
