I would like to hear from a graduate of this College. Is it worth the big money? Is it a quality College ? My niece wants me to cosign a college loan for 49,000 for the Med surg program thanks !

Hello. I've graduated in August 2013 in the WCU-OC campus. Which campus is your niece going to?

Also is she transitioning from RN to BSN, LVN to BSN, ADN to BSN or just straight BSN? Because from what I read you only mentioned med surg. Right now as a graduate after transferring 6 classes from my community college, my loans are at $115,000~.

I can assure it will be a lot more than 49,000.

As for the college itself. It depends which campus. Orange county campus has the highest rating of all 3 and highest pass rates of NCLEX of all 3 campuses. I would suggest this school if your niece couldn't get into any other school because time is money. And I highly suggest this school if you have connections within the hospital to land a job right away. Because a few people I know who went to WCU have graduated and have not found a job for nearly a year and a half now. I'm lucky because I have a relative who works in an acute care hospital and I knew the managers for quite a while through housewarming parties and so on. The price is steep, but the speed of schooling is great.

Overall, I would suggest this school if your niece is dedicated because failing 2 classes = kicked out of the program. And also if she is great at networking because it's a race to finding jobs after school or your student loans will pile up. As I said before, my friends who haven't found a job, their loans are up to 160,000+ at the moment.

I don't recommend this school if they cannot find a job within 6 months, or else your loans will be too much to handle... Unless you have a lot of disposable income..

If you have any more questions, let me know!
