Hey everybody,

I didn't see a thread yet for the Summer 2013 cohort for USF Masters Clinical Nurse Leader Program so I decided to make one. The application deadline is coming up and figured it would be great to meet fellow applicants and stress out together haha

Decisions have been made and can be read online. Go to application status, login and scroll to the bottom of your profile page.

I did not get accepted. Sigh...

Thank you all for your support and encouragement. Congratulations to those of you who will start the program in two weeks.

I could only see that my application is complete. Is there a link I should click on?

Click on "Application Status" then enter your "Username" and "Password." Scroll to the very bottom and your should see "Decision Status."

I also received an email today with a link to go to the profile page to view my admission status. Check your email and see if you received an email from USF.

Thanks @laugh2013, but I still do not see a change in my completed application. I also checked my email and did not received an email from USF.

Blech, I just wanted to let everyone know that I understand how awful it is to wait, and I'm so sorry if you didn't get in THIS TIME. But if you want to get in, I'm sure you will. Keep at it.

I got an e-mail today around 3... so, as soon as the decision has been made there must be an auto notification sent. I feel pretty awful, but I bet I would feel worse if it wasn't for this board and everyone's encouraging words. Get support wherever you can find it! I found it here for my USF application.

Congratulations to those who got in!! Keeping my fingers crossed for those that have not been notified. Not sure if helpful for anybody but for me this song helps improve my mood a ton... "Don't you worry don't you worry child... heaven's got a plan for you."

Back to the drawing board and the salt mines and work to maintain my determination and stamina... my turn will come. I know it.

Checking in again. @Laugh... I am so sorry to hear the news. All I can say is that keep your head up and keep moving forward. If USF is the place for you then you have a couple of months to rework your application and perhaps your personal statement and reapply. You have determination and that will open doors for you. What is your next step? @Marv I offer you the same advice...Head up and moving forward. I certainly don't mean to sound trite or insensitive, but it is imperative that you do not lose your focus. Have you both applied any where else?

As for everyone else, if you haven't heard that you are not accepted then there is still a chance, and again you may hear in the next couple of weeks even close to the orientation date.

Mailnursetobe - Thank you for checking in. I agree with MarvMIC, I felt a lot of support from this board. MarvMIC, I am sorry to hear the news.

I plan to register for either a CNA or EMT course this summer, study for the GRE then apply to additional nursing programs this Fall for Spring and Fall 2014 admission.

My fingers are crossed for everyone who is waiting.

Hi everyone. Remember that what do you do when one door closes? You have to open the door to make a new beginning. It just doesn't happen because we wish them to be.

Also remember if you really want it, you will have it! That is the life of nursing. Not many people are fortunate, not many people are lucky, but the determination and sacrifices you will make will greatly reflect your performance on your nursing career. You want it MORE than anyone else does.

Well, it was a hard decision but I have just submitted my form to decline this program. It is too much debt for me to take on at this point in my life. Also my husband has reservations about living in SF, even though it's a GREAT city.

On the up side, I have freed up a spot for one of you who is waiting. My acceptance letter gave me until May 10 to decide. I guess they extend the date, depending on when they notify you.

I wish you all, those accepted and those not, an excellent career wherever you end up.

Once again I called them today at 1. The one who answered said that they are done with looking at 95% of the applications and that I should be hearing back either today, which didn't happen... Or Monday....

She said that if I got rejected I should receive an email and if I get accepted a phone call

Still waiting...!$@
