Hi Everyone!

I didn't find any threads for USF's ME-CNL Spring 2012 cohort, so I decided to start one to give each other the support during the waiting period. Anyone out there applied to this program?

Hello! Yes I will be attending and I am super excited! Have you heard anything from housing yet? I'm also waiting on financial aid information too! Looking forward to meet you all at the orientation! Are you guys from the area or will you be relocating? :)

I had filled out my fafsa in the spring and sent it to them. So my financial aid is pretty much complete, I just need to figure out one more loan, haven't decided if I am using a plus loan or a private. I sent my deposit in yesterday.

I live in the east bay and will be commuting using Bart and muni. I am used to commuting places and it will be nice to not have to drive.

I am unable to attend the orientation because I will be out of the country. I have contacted the director and will meet with her privately. So I will be meeting you guys on the first day of class. I would greatly appreciate if you guys could let me know how orientation goes though!!!

Where are you relocating from? Did you get the email this morning about the student reps from cohort 12? She seems to know a lot about housing options! I'm Not sure if it came through on my usf email or my personal. I am so glad there is a place we can chat about this process before even going to school!

Hello everyone,

I am also going to be joining you this spring, assuming I get my finances in order. Primarily I just wanted to mention that I have lived in San Francisco for 4 years now and completed all of the pre-requisites for the program at USF, so I do have a bit of knowledge regarding the culture of the campus and the facilities themselves. If you have any questions of any kind pertaining to school life here or the campus I'd be happy to try my best to answer them for you.

I'm actually moving from Southern California so I'm a little concerned about finding housing if I don't get the on-campus housing. I can keep you posted on the information from orientation, no worries! Just send me your email address! :) Also, I didn't receive any emails from a student rep? Hmm...did you get it through your USF email?

Any tips on areas to live in around campus so I can get there easily? That would be great!

You will be able to find housing in the city. I don't know any specific places, but the Bart and Muni system will get you anywhere you want to go in the city. and USF sells discounted Muni passes. The email I received was from -----, our director, on my personal account. You should look at it because the main chunk of the email was from an older student about housing and relocating.

Do any of you have problems on t his board? having it load, or letting you log in...I feel like it is so hit or miss very annoying.

I need to get my BLS done, I want to do it in the next couple of weeks. I think the rest of the stuff is not due until april or so, physical, shots etc. Before clinicals.

Awesome. I just got the email from ----. Thanks for letting me know!! I'm not having problems on this board..not sure where it's coming from for you. I think we need to have our bls done before clinicals as well. It wa a pre req. it has to be done at a American Heart Association certified place. I just figure I should try to get it out of the way before we start, but I feel like time is winding dOwn and I have a lot to do so it might not get done. My name is Katie by the way :-). If you guys are doing financial aid fill out a form on the grad one step page to update te units you are going to take for spring and summer so that they can adjust your cost of attendance. It is the grad plus pre application I believe. I have to let my job know next week that I will not be workin for then once school starts. Not looking forward to that.
